Tru Tangazo Ministry Profile
Tru Tangazo Uganda is an Evangelism and Christian Apologetics Ministry organisation. Our name blends ‘Truth’ with ‘Tangazo’ = Swahili for proclaiming, announcing, heralding, explaining, or clarifying. We are captivated by the wonder and power of truth of the Gospel and person of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we have embraced the challenge of seeking and sharing clarity on the Tough Questions of Life and Faith through Apologetics and Conversation. These are the questions that can only be satisfied by truth—Who am I? Where do I come from? Why are we here? Is there meaning to life? What about all this suffering? What is the end of all things?
Our deep conviction is that only one person in history embodies Truth, Light, and Life—Jesus Christ—and it is Him that we proclaim.
Inspired by John 1 and Isaiah 52:7–10, we are committed to bringing the good news of salvation and publishing peace and joy in a broken world. At the heart of our mission is a desire to join the roundtable of worldviews with a voice of truth and clarity, bringing Biblically relevant insight to contextually contentious issues shaping thought and faith in our city, nation, region, and beyond.

Implementation of our Vision and Mission
To implement and achieve this, we engage the public in various spheres—academia, business, leadership, religion, and the wider community—creating room for thought-provoking conversations rooted in truth.
One of our core commitments is to bring hard conversations to all people, regardless of background or setting. We believe everyone, including children and youth, wrestles with life’s big questions. As such, one of our key ministry areas is ministry to children and young people, particularly by meeting them in their schools. Through school outreaches, we create safe and engaging environments where students can begin to explore and wrestle with tough questions about life and faith.
We recognize that we cannot do this work alone. That’s why we actively pursue partnerships with like-minded and like-hearted organizations, churches, and institutions that have access to spaces where people with questions can be reached. Together, we collaborate to open doors for meaningful conversations and life-changing encounters with truth.
Ministry Priority Areas
- Reaching the young people in schools (especially High Schools), universities and churches, and particularly paying attention to their questions and offering helpful responses to affirm their faith, and equipping them to be thoughtful proclaimers of the Truth that they believe to their peers and beyond. Our nation is a particularly young population, and this ministry is crucial.
- Training, Equipping and Mentoring: local Pastors and Christian leaders to be doctrinally sound, that they may be able to both disciple the flock and reach the unreached with the soundness of the Gospel message, and together participate in the Great Commission. We do this both physically and online.
- Provocative Contextual Conversations: Creating engaging platforms at the intersection of faith and life.
- Supporting Local Churches & other like-minded like-hearted Organisations: Equipping believers to confidently engage culture and impact their communities.
